Enlist one of our staff members to show coaches and players the finer points of the game, including beginner or advanced-level skill techniques, how to safely and effectively manage a practice, and methods to communicate in a positive and constructive manner with young players.
For example, did you know it is widely regarded as a "best practice" to teach a skill using the "whole-part-whole" method? This involves demonstrating the entire skill to the learner, breaking it down into a few key parts, then re-demonstrating the whole, or entire, skill again! This is a highly effective instructional technique. This is because our minds best recall movement patterns when they are presented in their entirety, rather than when they are shown only in isolation. Forgetting to "frame" the movement at both the beginning and end of an instructional delivery is a common error committed by many sports instructors.
